In case you don’t know what this is all about, here’s the background information:

Several weeks ago, a group of hackers announced that they had hacked the Ashley Madison web site and had data on 37 million people who were members of the site. Ashley Madison’s slogan is “Life is Short, Have an Affair,” and its sole purpose is to connect people who are looking for sexual adventures outside of their marriage or committed  relationship.

On Tuesday, August 19, the hackers released the email addresses, credit card data and sexual preferences for the 37 million Ashley Madison members. This was shortly followed by online links that could be used to enter an email address and see of the person connected to that email address was a member of the site. Not only could Ashley Madison members check to see if they were exposed, but people could also enter the email address of their spouse or partner to see if he or she was an Ashley Madison member.
